Manabu Bannai has written online every day since 2013. He started his blog as a university student, worked for an IT company in Cebu after graduating, and has been independent since 2015. He has lived in Southeast Asia for more than ten years.
He writes about work, health and thinking for a Japanese-speaking audience. His paid newsletter, his YouTube channel and his book all come from the same daily practice of writing.
After ten years of working alone, Manabu burned out. Manabu Company Limited, founded in 2026, is his second chapter: the same ambition, but built with a team and a community, so that everyone involved prospers.
